Google panda is the first algorithm released for Google’s search results ranking. This was released with the aim to lower the rank of lower quality sites and the highest quality sites on top of the search results. Copyrighted content was getting better rankings than sites with original content. Then Google panda rolled out with several updates.
Google announced a significant panda update. Panda 4.0 has rolled out to Panda 4.1. This major update affects 3-5% search queries that depend on location. Google said it is a friendly to smaller web sites. The great thing is high quality, medium or small quality sites can have better rankings. The algorithm is being added with more signals which helps Panda to identify poor quality content.
