Google announced an updated version in DMCA algorithm which was released in August 2014. Google declared Friday the release of the updated version of Google DMCA algorithm.
Google said, “An improved DMCA demotion signal in Search. In August 2012 we first announced that we would down rank sites for which we received a large number of valid DMCA notices. We’ve now refined the signal in ways we expect to visibly affect the rankings of some of the most notorious sites. This update will roll out globally starting next week.
Sources say, this update could only impact very less percentage of sites on the internet. Also the sites that have already faced the update will have very very hard impact. The sites that have been hit with large number of millennium copyright Act (DMCA) take down notices will have degraded Google serp rankings.
Obviously, we had a Google Penguin 3.0 update this week, though many eyes and raise voices over the update and not on the Google DMCA update.
